Following a distinguished 20-year career as a United States Navy Bandsman, Joe Muzika returned to his hometown of Tulsa with a vision: to reconnect with the area’s exceptional musicians while creating new opportunities to showcase the incredible musical talent the city had to offer. That vision became The GBD Trio, formed in September 2019.
What began as a small musical project quickly evolved into a versatile live-performance group dedicated to celebrating musicianship across generations and genres. In the beginning, the band’s mission was to feature outstanding Tulsa musicians while performing music that appealed to audiences of all ages. By bringing together artists with diverse backgrounds and experiences, The GBD Trio strove to bridge generational musical boundaries, foster mutual respect among musicians, and demonstrate that great music transcends style, era, and genre.
Today, The GBD Trio is a premier Tulsa-based live music ensemble providing professional entertainment for concerts, festivals, corporate events, private parties, patriotic celebrations, military ceremonies, civic events, and community gatherings. Their expansive repertoire spans classic rock, modern rock, country, blues, R&B, jazz, pop, patriotic, and ceremonial music—from timeless favorites of the 1950s through today’s hits.
